Project Briks of War
Chris was nice enough to send me one of the Gears of War Minis. Nice sculpt on the body and head, but man those bodies are awful. The arms are the worst. SO I am in the process of making him mega compatible. Once the mods are done, into rubber he will go.
Here is the original Torso.
Tiny Shoulders, Tiny Hips, and a weird gap between the chest and waist.
So I took care of the waist and hip ball problem first.
Next I will be adding some shoulders from a donor mega.

When he is standing the Visible crotch syndrome isn't quite as bad.

Yeah and it wouldnt be hard to add some sculpt and hide the gap. The big figures have codd plates that hang down. maybe even use some of that ultra flex plastic to make some codd plates.

Verrry nice work dude. Can't wait to see it done.

So glad to see this getting done! I'm sure the others agree, the sculpts are awesome, but the plastic, and joints, just a shame! Thanks Asphalt!

And now a moment of silence for the brave Megas that gave their lives that this soldier may live.

A comparison with the original body. I will mod the alternate waist piece as well.
I am trying to decide if I want to mod the locust body as well. It is really thin. Mega arms might look huge on it.

Didn't realize how ultra thin he is! I'm looking at mine now and thinking. It's workable, don't know how I'd use it in customs, but it's definitely usable lol.

Anorexic weight lifting aliens,
If my pot holds I should have cast examples to show this afternoon.

Re: Project Briks of War
Yup, these GoW figures have a nice appeal to them, I hoped they'd be compatible out of the box, but with Asphalt's work, they're going to be something special. Thank you again for doing this for us all!

Re: Project Briks of War
These have been a long time in coming, no real reason or it other than busy useless work, but here's some of the Briks of War figs painted up. Marcus' eyes aren't done yet, but I tossed some black paint up in there for effect, and it turned out pretty ok.
The Locust with Combat Elite arms and Pelican pilot legs:
Marcus with the slimmer waist piece, Iron man arms, and sandman legs. I like how the arms look, I think he needs bigger legs though. HE looks VERY top heavy with these

I'll try to take my sisters cam for better pics as soon as the other guy gets finished.

I need to take some pics but the locust looks great with skirmisher legs and head.

Never got into GOW but I have always liked the armour designs. These look awesome Asphalt. How much for a Marcus head and torso?
