Another incredible paint job, my man! I'd also like to know what others use as their finish. Hmm. New thread time!

Thanks guys, i always use 2 tamiya paint versions, one flat and the regular which has glossy effect, flat to cover all the areas first, then apply the glossy paint afterwards. i tried glossy at first but it becomes too thick when you apply too much. On the flesh, i stay flat.

i should have tried citadel, but some colors aren't available at our local stores.

use any finishes that aren't high gloss? I flip back and forth
depending on the paint methods I use. Just wondering your opinion on
the matter.

I haven't tried anything non high-gloss yet, i can't find any available matte coated version of citadel sealers here in the Philippines. All i got is a satin varnish sealer.

Btw... decided to finish my deathstroke.. here's what i came u for some parts for him:

Jon, you keep on pushing the envelope of greatness!

What a great use of Magneto's helmet!

And as always, your paint apps are spot on... or should I say line on?

I do think I detect a team forming....

Thanks guys... those comments are much appreciated.

I used citadel on some old customs but i never like the way they look after using it... besides the price they tend to go so
glossy. so i bought an acrylic epoxy spray paint by RJ London Dull
Laquer... the effects are amazing, applied it on a couple marvel handful of
heroes i painted even if it's glossy becomes matte. good for skins
etc... i might use both dull on skins and citadel on glossy parts...
dries in less than an hour.

i was hesitant at first to use it on an existing custom i made.. but when i applied it to my custom martian manhunter...

JonRyan's Workshop - Page 3 P2010686

I can't believe the results... it was like it was photoshopped. The gloss was instantly removed and added a matte finish on the paint.

Now i'm spraying every customs i made like crazy. LOL

It's a lot more cheaper than citadel purity seal priced at 170php a can, which is around 4usd.

Got tired of work and decided to make a few custom that will join my WIP Uncanny X-Force Archangel.

Just simple paint mod on Wolverine, used Wolverine from the single packs, i was about to customize wolverine, the one that came out of the yelow egg with the motorcycle, thought i'll be making the same mistake before, using a rare figure to customize then look afterwards online, glad there's a collector from a local toy collecting club that's letting go of his extras.

JonRyan's Workshop - Page 3 P2140718

and Uncanny X-Force Deadpool. Using Spiderman as base and Captain America's waist(for the utility belt) and some simple sculpts.

Thanks for looking!

JR, man, again you come through with the killer paint jobs. That X-force Wolvie looks better than the one mega put out IMO. And you beat me to the X-Force Deadpool! Damn you! jk. Can't wait to see your Laura Kinney in similar suit. Keep it up!!!!
