DeadRock's /DeadRock Verse

Ok up for tonight is a lil wip, started sculpting and modding a character that will be really important in my story, but short lived.

This is the reference pic of the vest I am using to get the sculpt I want.



This is wip chest, head and weapon.





Just wanted to share a lil something of what I have going on. I plan to cast all the finished parts to have them in the correct base color before I paint.

The vest is in the very first stage, and will get a bunch of added detail.

Character looks fun! Digging the hair, the vest and that sword is really neat. Looking forward to seeing more from Deadrock's verse.

good looking start. Do you plan on scultping pouches or using miniature bits?

I might use miniature bits, will make it go faster. But I may try and just sculpt the pouches, they are easy. I plan to use fishing wire to get the ribbed looking on the straps and the larger pouches. Maybe ribbed look is the wrong way to describe the piping look around the big ouches and shoulder straps.

Who is the head from? You better not be casting in clear again or I will have to climb through the interwebs and smack you a good one.

Yeah its iceman I had 5 or 5 of him. I love casting in clear, you gotta paint it anyway,lol. This guy will be cast in solid and clear colors, I will have 3 different versions, solid, mid phase and all the way phased. Got some more work on the vest done last night, just lazy and didnt take pics yet.

Nothing wrong with clear. As a collector anything with clear pieces instantly gets my attention. Shine a light behind those suckers and see the fabulous effect!!!

Nevermind inside comment, I love casting in transparent colors.

Ok got the front done for the most part, now to work on the back straps and back pack. I also made this guy a few extra weapons, just games workshop guns with , new shafts for handles. Love bash work, so plan on seeing all kinds of variations of these.

Also this character will be one of 6, so his team mates will be coming also.

Sweet looking weapons! Excellent job on the vest, really looks great man! Looks like this guy means business. Can't wait to see what the others look like too!
Btw, are you going to give Iceman some ears? I've used him a few times, but I've used him in characters with bigger hair that what you've gone for, since ears are VERY difficult for me.

This character is not human, so no ears. Thats all I am saying for now.
