Well post them here. And post the finished work in the custom thread when its done.

Re: Working on something?
Cool thread bro. I got a couple of wips that I could use some advice on.
First:
So im redoing my Optimus prime fig. Instead of making a removable chestpiece from a WOW fig, Im gonna sculpt it on the torso. I want to replicate this.

You can see im using the first legs I made and they look to derpy for my tastes. So how can I extend the legs and arms without making it look too weird?
Second:
I wanted to keep these guys a suprise but they will turn out better with some help. This is the basis for my Banjo-Kazooie custom. Originally Kazooie was just gonna stay in the back pack and be just one sculpted piece since she never gets out of it. But looking for some refrences I came across official renders of her out of the back pack and want to make her a seperate fig while still being able to interact with banjo as the do in the games.
Im thinking of cutting up some WOW gryphon wings to make em smaller and attach some ball joints for Kazooies wings. Im thinking attaching a ball joint atop the 2x2 brick on banjos back so I can pose her peaking out of the back pack. I also want to be able to position her on the brick as if the 2 were flying as they do in the game. Finally I want include her "Talon trot" move where her legs come out from the bottom of the back pack and uses them to essntaily give Banjo a piggy back around the levels. For that Im thinking of drilling a small hole in the bottom of the brick and using the crotch peg.
Any ideas dudes, better or worse?

Re: Working on something?
I am liking the ideas. For Prime, the reference pic has way to skinny legs to pull off, so the bulky look you have works better I think. As for the other, the ideas are solid, and having the figure as a separate, rocks. I think your going in the right direction on both bro...
Re: Working on something?
My suggestion for Kazooie would be to start by using a dark phoenix WoW creature as the base; then mod from there.
By doing so you get a good base for wings, already have talons and a mildly appropriate beak which may just need additional sculpt.
Then for the backpack mount, you could probably use the phoenix's stand as a source for legs to proceed w/ your idea.
Perhaps (since the bird has talons already molded in) you could use one of the handles from the Halo armory sets (where the wall plate was given) for legs since it'll already have two posts. Just ideas; not trying to wreck what progress you've already made
About Optimus, you may have better luck if you tried to mod some of these onto MB fig legs somehow:

Re: Working on something?
Thanks for the asst guys. I did think of using a pheonix WOW creature. Only issue is actually finding one and since I live in the UK ive given up on seeing any new WOW stuff over here. If any wants to hook me I would be very grateful but untill then I'll work with what I have. I can always change it later.
Heres what I have for banjo and Kazooies heads. Kazooies head is a bit mis shapen at the back. I'll hafta to see what i can do about that or if i even want to. Quite happy with Banjo. To simulate fur I let the clay pick up my finger prints to make it more subtle tha scuplting it in.
Those Kreon upgrade are awesome and I can deffo see exactly how i could mod the legs and would be perfect for the shape I want. Again cause I live across the pond I cant get hold of em. Shapeways does do international shipping but its like $20/ £13 for a tiny accessory. Ill get a set eventually. This also poses an issue since I was gonna donate him for casting when finished. So for now heres what im working with.
While no perfect I think the shape is there and will keep that slender figure Im after.
