Reckoning Power Armor W.I.P.

Any of you who get to know me will come to know I am a sucker for power armor. Thanks to Brave I have a Hunter Body. I was putting it back together and did it backwards. So simple, but so awesome. I added the brickarms cannons (also put together backwards) and damn if it isn't effective. The head is a placeholder that I plan on molding. I will need to build a neck. I am thinking double ball so I don't have to mold the hunter torso twice. Anyway, if I don't post W.I.P.s I never finish anything. But again, 1000 thanks to Brave for the body. I give you The Reckoning.









I haven't seen any Hunter customs. Does no one like the mold but me?

That is dope. I've only seen the hunters on the box... I'm not into Halo and am not inclined to buy more than the occasional blind pack... didn't know they were closer to the plasma line in size with more articulation. They look like they'd be perfect for mech type bodies.

I love the mold, but they were pretty scarce until the EVA's last stand set came out, which gave me the opportunity to gather more. As a huge fan of Hunters in the game, I'm keeping the two pairs, as they only actually work in pairs, and have a plan for the remaining purple one.

Jesus, how big is that hunter? Ive never played Halo, well not enough to know anything about it, is it meant to be that big? Where do i get one?

The "EVA's last stand" set is the easiest source of a pair of them. They really are that big, very intimidating in game. They growl, and roar instead of talking as they have no mouth, and are VERY hard to kill with a Fuel rod gun ( radioactive waste shot like a rocket) mounted to one "arm" and a shield mounted to the other, Easily my favorite enemy type in game. Funny thing is, they actually should be a little bigger to be in scale with the Marines, but since all the figures are relatively the same height, they just scaled them to the Spartans. Not meaning to derail the thread, just sharing my knowledge.

OK, I have some bodies made. Now to get some heads made. Must Finish Ban Bots.

Ban Bots. Roll ou- Uh... Can't use that one. Hmm. They need a catch phrase!

So god dam beautiful. Translucent plastic is always sexy but these colours are other worldly!!

The dark red might be my favorite so far. I have some heads ready to mod up. Hopefully I will be able to finish these soon.

Ok that was fun to catch up on. I found some heads to work on putting neck posts on. Now I just need to find a source for appropriately sized neck posts.

The big round ones? I've got a broken down Plasmaverse Spider I can send over, has 3 of those ball joints that you can play with.

If you get the chance, it would be great if you could take a couple of those ball joints and glue them end to end and cast a some adapters for female/female plasma scale (hunters are this scale), plasma to micro.

I don't have any of the plasma figs. Can you post pics of what you would want it to do?

You'd basically be making a double-ended, dumbell shaped connector that could link two parts with sockets. All the rubbery figures like the hunters and WoW creatures fall into the "plasmaverse" scale. Sadly, lots of cool parts ended up being designed to fit only specific bodies.

What link shaft will it need to have?

I'd say double the standard one-sided length. Probably about 1/4".
