So I got the Ironman Malibu mansion set and I really dig it. Only problem I had was there wasnt enough mansion for my tastes. So I built an extension.

He man and battle cat are going to be gifts for someone.
He-man and battle cat taking shape. slowly but surely. You know I really underestimated the amount of sculpting I would need for battle cat. I thought it would just be some minor sculpting and a repaint, but like all my stuff i decided to go all out. I wasnt gonna even make battlecat but he man just seemed lonely without it. He-man is looking neat, Can anyone hook me up with a MB scale sword of greyskull? I could make my own but I suck at weapons.




Been awhile since I made a Power ranger hasnt it. I took a mega bloks Dino thunder head and gave a new body. Wanting to improve my formula, for this guy I made sure to trim down all the limbs with my dremel so I dont end up with oversized boots and cuffs. I was also gonna just paint the pattern and emblem on, but as was ready to paint I thought I would look better sculpted on. Wont be able to sculpt all the diamonds on though.



Anyone remember this....thing. Those who have seen the show should be able to recongise him now you can see moar of his face.

Found a neat source of robes for this guy. Now its not accurate to the show, but I still love it. Took it from an anikin skywalker clone wars fig. All I had to do was slice him in 2, make the hole a little bigger and trim the robe down. Still looking out for coat like bottom robe to fit the character better though.

Engine, I use Aves Apoxie sculpt for all my sculpting needs. Love that stuff. Ive really warmed to this grey mix. I hated at first but after some time with it, I think I prefer it to the white mix i used before hand.

Ive always liked the visual astetic of that show. I wanted to make it a bit more 3D and not quite as flat as the cartoon.

Also what are you wanting for yourself. If I knew, I would likley be encouraged to finish them off and get em sent to the DR sooner.

Dino Thunder red ranger and TMNT Leo. Made a new belt for leo with a shoulder strap. So the belt has more room but wont fall thanks to the strap.


Battlecat is done, Face is a bit uneven though. Not screen accurate but good enough I feel.

Since mega couldnt be arsed to make the pink rangers signiture weapon, I had to do it myself. It was a pain in the ass getting the source for this. You better not screw the Megaforce Pink ranger Mega!

I found a cheap vehicle PR Samurai set at SMYTHS. I had no intrest in it orginally cause it look stupid. It was going for £5. So I grabbed it. After building it I fell in love and bought 2 more so I could make this vehicle. I love the engine parts and the disc launchers are alot of fun!

Sorry for bumping again but I have a couple of finished customs you guys might want to see.

First off my Red Dino Thunder Power Ranger:






I was gonna just paint the emblem on the chest and the white diamond pattern around the shoulders but Im glad I took the time to sculpt em on. Just looks more interesting. That morpher came out pretty nice considering how tiny it is. These hands are awesome by the way!

Next the prince of Eternia( I think thats right):





I love how a bit of paint can completely change a figure. The head is a bit of mess, the brush got away from me when painting his hair, I may try and fix it or just leave it to avoid risking making it worse. The chest harness, is 2 tone cause I could decide what colour it was supossed to be. I looked for references, in some cases it looked grey, others blue or even silver. Once I can find duplicates of the hands I will paint em acordingly. Now I am missing a certain weapon to complete this guy, so for now I have found a substitue in one of the most awesome weapons in my armory.....



O yea, totally digging it.
I have started painting battlecat but its not really worth showing.....yet

Got some colour to my Turtle V2 body. I did have the colours I wanted on hand so I improvised and mixed my green and brown to get that dark shell colour. If anything, this has made me really want to get hold of those awesome casts!





As much as I like this I just noticed a small detail that annoys me. The ref I was working from has the front leg pads connected to the piece on the upper back. Here there is a big green space between em. I didnt notice that till I took a pic. Still, Im pretty happy with it. Once I get the stripes on, Im thinking of applying a wash, do we think I should of just not bother?




Another project Im working on, not much right now. Its a recreaction of one of my favourite gaming duo's of all time. If all goes well, ill be able to incorparate all the features I want and have 2 figs in one.

Well I do plan on getting this guy casted, that way people can have it exactly the way they want. What holes are you refering to? The ones on the back legs are gonna be covered by the Gryhons armor spares I have and the hole near the head is for the reigns. So yeah they will be covered up

So heres what Ive been up to today....


What the hell is that you may ask. Well...

Its the basis of my MB Flamedramon.  I bought a small fig on ebay with the intention of adding joints and such to it. Well I got it in hand it was bigger than I thought so I decided to gut it for parts instead. Here we have Extended arms, longer neck and weird Lizard like back legs, these were a bitch to assemble. The claws just wedge onto the hands and the feet are gripped by an emebeded 2x1 that the standard Mega blok foot pegs onto. Head needs some work and so do the rest of the limbs. Gonna make look natural....i hope. Looks like hes on stilts.

My mind is spinning with all this awesomeness so much so that I don't even know where to start...the power ranger, not wait, he-man. Scratch that. Link. No fuck link, ok ok..here it goes...

Voltron FTW! Please finish that Voltron with the utmost urgency (uncompromising detail of course). One of those MUST be sent to Sparky...he would go crazy for it!

Simply put, I'm in mad love with your scultping skills. I've yet to try my hand at sculpting, but I'm sure even a year later my best work will be a far cry behind your worst.
I'd love to see your Voltron end up in the founders shop eventually as I'd love to have a copy of that for my personal collection [that will be alongside the turtles en-route]

P.S. I think the gripe with the red hands is mostly because they're being used on WoW forearms and so they look like the wrist is micro-skinny. Maybe if they were placed in further or on Halo forearms they would look more to-scale. (That being said I agree w/ Asphalt).

Thanks for the kind words SABR. You may be happy to know voltron has already been finished, more or less and is on his way to DR for a rubber bath. I dont have any up close pics of the finished sculpt cause I forgot, however I do have one group shot of all the latest work I have sent to DR.

Theres not alot of new detail there, I did get the crest and buckle on to the best of my ability. I did omit some details were I thought nessacary such as the blue and yellow lion's inner legs. If I had put them on it would have really messed with the base and I doubt DR would be able to mold it. The hands were the biggest pain. At first I wasnt gonna put the red and green lions face on em cause I didnt wanna fuck with the grip, but I found a nice compromise i feel. The only thing I feel he is missing is the wings on the back, totally slipped my mind.
The sword came out nice I feel, didnt bother with his sheild cause I just dont like it, its all about the sword anyway.

I honestly dont mind the hands on red. At this scale Im alot more lax about proportions since you need to make exceptions here and there cause the stuff is so small. That said, these would probably look better on a thinner wrist. Note to self: Find my master cheif  

Also theres no reason I dont post much on the bloks forum, i just dont. This is the site for all my bloky needs. That said, I'll be sure to spread the love around much more from now on
